For you Flash aficionados with one foot in the JavaScript world (or vice-versa), check out AFLAX, a JavaScript library for AJAX-like interaction with Flash. While not ready for prime-time yet (it does not work in Safari or Opera), it looks to be a very powerful API that opens up Flash scripting to rapid client-side development. Requires the Flash 8 player.
