Adactio Elsewhere

  • Reported by Nate

Today's active webloggers are enjoying different web services like Flickr for photos, Del.icio.us for bookmarks, Amazon for wishlists, etc. These services have powerful features that would be either expensive, difficult or time consuming to re-create - so it makes sense to use them individually. The downside though, is that one's web identity ends up getting scattered across these services.

Jeremy Keith of Adactio has managed to use the APIs available for these services to consolidate his web identity into a single interface he's calling Adactio Elsewhere, read his intro here.

I think this makes a lot of sense, and I'm looking forward to the write-up where he explains how he pulled this all together.

That is just brilliant. Simple, yet brilliant. I'm looking forward to the writeup myself as well.

Absolutely amazing! I have been resistant to using some of these services because of the "breaking up" of my site's identity.

Personally, I think the nice little touches are the best. Eg. the spinning arrow while the viewer is waiting for the page to load.

Can't wait for the deconstruction of the techniques.
