Safari RSS
According to macminute, a new version of Safari will include RSS support. This seems to me like a very natural evolution for our web browsers to make, but I wonder how it will be implemented.

Yah, and let's not forget the already full featured NetNewsWire. I wonder if this would be like "NNW Even Lighter"? Hopefully it's not a more reckless effort that would potentially hurt NNW. A trickle more info from MacRumors:
Now: Safari. We're going to take it a step further. New thing - RSS. Get all this data from sites and format it how you want.
Hmmm.. format it how you want? So now it has RSS reading capability, and some sort of style tool? Now I'm really curious to see this thing. Well, maybe screenshots will show up soon.

Oh! duh. Here are the screenshots of the new RSS function. Interesting, but severely lacking in function at this point. Without getting some sort of update notification, it seems kinda pointless... so far.

Ok, and now from Todd's enjoying links, I find the video preview. Note the really tight integration - which is very smart. Also note that so far (it seems) it's only useful for grouping and searching multiple feeds.

Cool. As usual, I'm sure Apple will do a nice job implementing this. Again, though, it does smell like yet another 'let's just take a great idea from our dedicated Apple developers and do it ourselves' thing.

Opera added support for RSS newsfeeds months ago, and it works quite well.

Seems like there's also webfeed integration in the latest nightlies of Firefox.

Isn't there a ton of hacks for safari for this already though? Although apple making it would assure alot more functionality and stuff =0
