Reinvigorate

  • Reported by Nate

Ironically discovered through the referral page here, Reinvigorate Data Archiving Services is a very slick system for tracking traffic, browsers, platforms, referrers, etc. It even has a link crawling and checking feature. I was surprised by both the quality and depth of the features, as well as the slick interface. I believe this service is well worth checking out, I wish I had found it sooner.
Dramatically simpler in scope, but associated with this is a little open source Flash/Java User Count tool that you can use to show how many folks are currently visiting your site.

I used Reinvigorate a while back, but their server wasn't fast enough for my taste. The pixel that it used to track always took several seconds to load. Can anyone say if it has become faster? P.S. Thanks for the Remember Me cookie, Nate! However, I would suggest using a checkbox instead of two radio buttons. Using radio buttons for a yes/no choice is kind of silly in my anal opinion.

It seems pretty fast now, although I'm having trouble knowing for sure since my host server seems to be a bit flakey as of late. I'll keep it running for a while, but I'd be very interested to hear from others about performance issues. No problem about the remember me cookie Joshua, it was well worth adding! I suppose you're right about the checkbox, I'll work that into future template changes.

I love Reinvigorate. I've been using it for a while. It still seems sometimes that it takes a little while for that initial loadup of that pixel, but for the functionality I've gotten back it's worth it.

The service that hosts Reinvigorate went out of business. Reinvigorate had no time to prepare and now the website is down. The last I read, Reinvigorate was keeping the stats and planned to put them up once they found a new host. They had planned to E-mail everyone with the new location. So far, that has not happened. Now, even their page explaining what happened is gone.
