Macromedia Unveils Future Direction for Internet Applications

I think this is a good thing. While it's great to know C++ and other more hard core programming languages. Flash is already a great way to developer simple applications on the web, and I think will make a fairly good universal app platform for those who are less inclined to pour money into longer dev times for more complex and system specific apps.
