SmartyPants has been upgraded to 1.2. It has lots of new features and fixes, works with Movable Type, Blosxom, and BBEdit, and is even happy to behave in conjunction with the MT-Textile plugin. So, from what I gather, you can enjoy a combination of the textile easy tagging system, with the convinence of SmartyPants auto-fixing.
