Safari and NiceTitles Followup
- I posted a Safari feature wish here at webgraphics.
- Stuart was nice enough to actually create a script which accomplished my wish in multiple browsers.
- Another Beta of Safari is released, and my core wish (for tooltips of somekind) is appeased because Safari now includes a links title info in the status bar on rollover (along with the url and if it will open a new window).
- Dave Hyatt noticed Brad Choate's problem with how Safari handles background images, reports that it's fixed in the new build, and comments that the script he is using (NiceTitles) works in the next build (yet to be released) as well.
- It's also worth noting that Stuart has improved his script since the original version based on feedback and wish requests.
- And lastly, Joshua has recognized some arguments against using NiceTitles that should be considered.

oops, I should clarify... NiceTitles is not a part of Safari, but the latest beta does addresss the issue of title text (Safari's latest beta renders titles in the status bar).3. February 14, 2003 03:09 PM

Oh, well that makes more sense. :) By the way, Nate, think you could get a "Remember me" switch on the individual archive page?4. February 14, 2003 03:17 PM

Neato. I hadn't realized that they had rolled Nice Titles into Safari already. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
