A Web-based Test of Fitts' Law
(via CHI-WEB) Help with some research into Fitts's law with this interactive test (requires Java, so might not work for you Mac users). My best times are 613ms on the 1st test, and 767 on the 2nd. (Tip: write down your time after completing the 1st; it doesn't show it again.)

oof, 774 msec for the first and 838 for the second over here. Currently times are in the 400’s for the sites “10 best” list. I’ll try again at home because here on the mac I’m not as used to the apple pro mouse and I’m guessing that various pointing devices (even within mouses) play a big role in time differences. Maybe I’m just a sore looser. Also I don’t play video games–see what happens when you don’t keep up with the games! tsk tsk.
