Managing Fonts in X
One of the reasons I haven't made the leap from OS 9 to X is the lack of good font handling applications. In the Classic environment, ATM was my choice as the best font management utility, but since Adobe has chosen no longer to develop ATM, I have been forced to find a replacement.
Enter Insider Software's FontAgent X.
FontAgent X is the closest thing to ATM in terms of simplicity. Fonts are organized by Libraries and by sets - previewed as a family or as a single typeface.
It's not quite as feature bloated as Font Reserve or Suitcase. What it gives up in features, it makes up for in speed. At this time, it is lacking a auto-activation feature - but according to a company representative, it is on it's way.
There is a working demo available to download - though it limits you to adding only 250 fonts. The full version sells for $89.95.
