mac or win?
antenna has an interesting take on the win/mac choice, I completely agree. I also think that the amount of time one spends with either system (because of professional requirement or just by deafult) has a big impression on what one finds comfortable. Having used both OSes almost equally, but win more recently I'm eager to get re-accustomed to the more appealing mac interface, but behind the loop in key details that make a difference in efficient usage. An invaluable exercise for people involved in UI design is to switch between operating systems every so often (usually these things don't happen out of choice). Switching to a Mac after working on a PC for a while shows you everything that's crap about a Mac and good about a PC, and switching to a PC after working on a Mac, well, vice versa. And I've learned much about what's crap about both from the PalmOS.But OK, I'm not following my own advice completely, as most of the unix world (both GUIs and text shells) is still terra incognita to me.
