Typekit, now here

I’ve used sIFR, sIFR 2, sIFR 3, and other font replacement techniques. There have been minor improvements and optimizations between versions – but quite frankly, implementing them, even in rather simple configurations is a real time waster. If you forget how part of the system works, or if you run into some weird bug, the annoyance can get factored several times.

Typekit is an entirely different thing all together. Easy, breezy setup that just works. Beautiful font rendering that you can just call into place with selectors or CSS (or both.) Font variants that you can use with CSS font-weight numbers.

I’m a little late to the party on this one, but if you’re holding back and wondering about Typekit – it has my vote. Oh, and if you’re holding back because you need an invite, let me know.
